Why, since I cancelled my American Express credit card, I have been unable to partake of a wide variety of goods and services, and that is no joke. No, I wasn’t even able to hire a Hertz rental car, or buy tickets for a plane trip to Baltimore over the internet. I remember when using cash was the preferred way to buy things.Credit Card

It is a global phenomenon buying products or services with your American Express credit card without even caring whether or not we can afford them or even need them. Although American Express credit cards are a really convenient way to make a purchase - get it now and worry about it tomorrow - it does come at a heavy cost. Unfortunately, credit card debts are mounting in many places around the world. It is true that credit debts are one of the biggest problems that are facing America today, and that is no joke.

It is for this reason I cancelled my American Express credit card. Once I had the power to buy things without parting with my money immediately, I was almost unstoppable. Charging everything to my card was stupid because before too long the debts just spiraled out of control. The debt became too great for me to pay and I didn’t know what to do.

To get my debt back into a position where I could pay for it I resorted to using a debt refinancing company. To say the situation had become a nightmare would be a gross understatement. Today, I am American Express credit card and debt free. Most people that have never been in this situation will think I am making excuses blaming the credit card but they are missing something important about people.

If you pay for goods or services in cash, you actually see that money coming out of your pocket. As I said before, credit cards make the cost of things misleading because you don’t take any notice. Spending money like it was going out of fashion and it didn’t take long before it was gone. I no longer have an American Express credit card problem!
